Simon joined the FPA in 2022 with over 40 years’ experience working in General Insurance. He began his career with Commercial Union with a passion for risk management and qualified as a Property Surveyor focusing on fire, sprinklers, business interruption, and security, as well as achieving Associateship of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) and Chartered Insurer status.
Simon went on to run various Regional Teams before becoming responsible for the entire risk management function as Operations Manager, and more recently for overseeing technical audits, quality reviews, and project work. As RISCAuthority Programme Director he is responsible for ensuring the scheme delivers a high-quality, topical programme of work that satisfies the needs of our RISCAuthority members.
