What is Okta and why do I need it?

Okta is a third party authentication and security tool used by the FPA and RISCAuthority to allow you to access our website securely.

You need an account with Okta to make a purchase on the website, download information and guidance, and access the FPA members’ area.

I've forgotten my password - what do I do?

It's the first time I'm accessing the members' area - how do I activate my account?

Purchased membership online

If you purchased membership online and payment has been received, you will already have received an activation email from us. Please check your junk or spam email folders if you have not received this.

If you have requested an invoice, this will be sent once payment has been received.

Please click the activation button and follow the instructions onscreen. You will need to set up a password and security question.

Purchased membership over the phone

If you have purchased membership over the phone, our membership team will trigger your Okta activation email once payment has been received.

Please click the activation button and follow the instructions onscreen. You will then have to set up a password and security question.

I've forgotten my security question - how do I reset it?

To reset your security question, please call or email the membership team on 01608 812 515 or membership@thefpa.co.uk.

I'm locked out of my account - what do I do?

If you are locked out of your account, please call or email the membership team on 01608 812 515 or membership@thefpa.co.uk.

I've not received my activation email - what do I do?

If you have not received your activation email, please check your junk or spam folders. If you cannot locate the email, please call or email the membership team on 01608 812 515 or membership@thefpa.co.uk.

I'm trying to purchase a product or service - how do I do this via the website?

If you are trying to purchase a product or service for the first time, and do not already have an Okta account, you will need to create an account here. Once your account is created you will be able to purchase any product or service available via our website.

If you already have an account with us, please log in to make a purchase.

I've just purchased membership - how quickly will I gain access to the members' area?

Purchased membership online

If you purchased membership online, you will be able to access the members’ area immediately once payment has been received and your account has been activated.

If you have requested an invoice, the members’ area will be available once payment has been received and your account has been activated.

Please click the activation button and follow the instructions. You will need to set up a password and security question.

Purchased membership over the phone

If you have purchased membership over the phone, our membership team will need to process your payment before you are able to access the members’ area.

If you have not already got an Okta account, our membership team will create one and trigger an Okta activation email.
