The FPA are seeking a Site Supervisor to work at our UKAS Accredited Fire Test and Research Laboratory in Moreton in Marsh.
This is a ‘high visibility jacket’ role and the successful candidate should be happy to work outdoors and occasionally work at height or in a confined space.
Key Accountabilities
- Document cladding installations
- Supervise contractors and workforce
- Actively maintain safety and quality standards
- Maintain a detailed record of construction site activities (Site Diary)
- Review and issue RAMS
- Monitor Safe Systems of Works
- Check and correlate materials
- Maintain photographic records
- Ensure all control and communication documents are implemented e.g. permits/daily inspections, DABs
- Conduct fire tests in accordance with the FPA health and safety policies and procedures
- Process data
- Promptly identify problems and report immediately to the line manager
Skills and Experience Required
- Experienced commercial or residential site supervisor
- Computer literate
- Practical skills (use of hand tools, wiring etc.)
- Ability to deal with subcontractors and suppliers
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure policies and procedures are followed
- Good management skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Good understanding of CDM Regulations and HASAW
- Ability to read construction drawings
Qualifications
- SSSTS Certificate
- CSCS – Site Supervisors Gold Card
- 3 Day First Aid Certificate
- CPCS/NPORS/RTITB or similar plant operators’ card for forklift or telehandler
- Ipaf Training
