Site Supervisor

The FPA are seeking a Site Supervisor to work at our UKAS Accredited Fire Test and Research Laboratory in Moreton in Marsh.

This is a ‘high visibility jacket’ role and the successful candidate should be happy to work outdoors and occasionally work at height or in a confined space.

Key Accountabilities

  • Document cladding installations
  • Supervise contractors and workforce
  • Actively maintain safety and quality standards
  • Maintain a detailed record of construction site activities (Site Diary)
  • Review and issue RAMS
  • Monitor Safe Systems of Works
  • Check and correlate materials
  • Maintain photographic records
  • Ensure all control and communication documents are implemented e.g. permits/daily inspections, DABs
  • Conduct fire tests in accordance with the FPA health and safety policies and procedures
  • Process data 
  • Promptly identify problems and report immediately to the line manager

Skills and Experience Required

  • Experienced commercial or residential site supervisor
  • Computer literate
  • Practical skills (use of hand tools, wiring etc.) 
  • Ability to deal with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure policies and procedures are followed
  • Good management skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Good understanding of CDM Regulations and HASAW 
  • Ability to read construction drawings

Qualifications

  • SSSTS Certificate
  • CSCS – Site Supervisors Gold Card
  • 3 Day First Aid Certificate
  • CPCS/NPORS/RTITB or similar plant operators’ card for forklift or telehandler
  • Ipaf Training
