Fire protection is designed and built into the structure of many buildings. This is largely unseen once the building is in use but is vital to maintaining the safety of occupants in the event of a fire. Anyone who is carrying out maintenance or refurbishment should be aware of how their work may impact the structure to ensure that life safety and building protection is not compromised. This qualification provides essential knowledge for all those who operate in the built environment.
