The FPA has announced the appointment of two new Executive Directors to their Board

The UK’s national fire safety organisation has announced the appointment of two new Executive Directors to their Board following their first meeting of 2022 in January.

Jo Griffin, Director of HR and Support Services and Claire Wright, Director of Training and Digital Services, are the first female representation the FPA Board has seen in its history. With a combined service of almost 25 years, Jo and Claire’s commitment to the FPA has not gone unnoticed.

Jonathan O’Neill OBE, Managing Director at the FPA, said: “I am delighted to announce the appointment of Jo Griffin and Claire Wright to the Board of Directors with immediate effect. With their expertise, dedication, and experience, their elevation is well-deserved, and they are the first female Executive Directors at the FPA.”

Jo Griffin reacted by saying: “As Director of HR and Support Services I am responsible for our company’s greatest asset – our people. My primary focus is on enhancing our employee lifecycle and creating a caring culture, while maximising individual potential and optimising organisational capacity and performance. I am delighted to share my recent promotion to Executive Director, along with my colleague Claire Wright and I am extremely proud that we are the first female directors to join the FPA Board.”

Claire Wright added: “My role as Director of Training and Digital Services allows me to influence the direction of travel for delivering a continual learning culture within our industry. The FPA has supported my development over the last 15 years and I am proud to be one of the first of two female directors to join the FPA Board. I look forward to the journey ahead.”
