C27 The Hackitt Review Seminar: Understanding the outcomes, meeting the challenges

Duration: 1 day(s)

A one day seminar intended to explain the outcomes of the much anticipated Hackitt Review and provide guidance to those affected on how to meet the challenges. The Grenfell Tower fire has brought wide spread attention to dangerous weaknesses of construction industry practice, social housing, design, product testing, fire legislation and associated guidance that have been voiced by fire industry professionals for some years.

Although Dame Judith Hackitt's Independent Review of Building Regulations and Fire Safety provides some indication of future direction, much independent work has been undertaken to assist the enquiry team including the ABI sponsored research into the suitability of existing cladding test regimes to deal with modern materials and construction standards.
