This course is the second and final cycle of the CFPA (Confederation of Fire Protection Associations) Europe Diploma in Fire Prevention. Applications are only open to those who have completed the Technical Cycle. Intended for experienced fire safety professionals, you will build on existing knowledge and experience to recommend and implement fire safety strategies across large or multi-site premises. You will learn the processes to manage fire safety throughout the life of a building, discussing the impact that changes in building use or occupancy can have on fire safety strategy.

You will learn the importance for continuous strategy review.  You will complete 10 days of face to face learning spread over two sessions which must be completed within one year. Between the two weeks you will develop your fire safety strategy, presenting this at the end of your final week.

  • Design and produce a fire safety policy to the executive management of the organisation
  • Advise the executive management about the measures, requirements, purchase and maintenance or fire protection, prevention and suppression systems and equipment
  • Generate and manage the plan for the control the fire risks in their company
  • Liaise with authorities and inspection bodies in the field of fire safety and fire protection and prevention
  • Generate information to employees and other relevant persons regarding fire safety in the organisation
  • Manage and direct all personnel responsible for fire safety including fire wardens and fire intervention teams
  • Design a maintenance regime for all fire prevention, suppression, alarm and detection systems within the company to ensure compliance
