Are you new to the fire detection and alarms industry? Our fire detection, alarms and emergency lighting training course will provide you with a complete understanding of systems and legislation. It delivers practical guidance for carrying out installation, commission and maintenance of systems and all content is relevant to BS 5839. You will benefit from hands on experience and live demonstrations from fire alarm experts while remaining in smaller class sizes than many other providers.

Learning outcomes

Using a combination of workshop facilities to develop practical skills and classroom-based learning, you will be able to demonstrate competence to your customers and/or employer. This is clearly matched against:

  • The National Occupational Standards in Systems
  • BS 5839 (part 1, 6, 8 and 9)
  • BS 5266-1:2016 emergency lighting
  • BAFE SP203/LPCB 1014 for fire detection and alarm systems
  • Relevant legislation and guidance
  • A competence matrix (agreed by sector employers)

Certification

  • Fire Protection Association (FPA) Certificate
  • Fire Alarm Systems Operator CFPA-E
