Ryan joined the FPA in 2024 as Facilities Coordinator before being promoted into his current managerial role. He began his career in the leisure industry and then moved into anaerobic digestion where he managed a team of operators and engineers.
Ryan is responsible for the day-to-day operations of our Fire Testing Laboratory which includes managing a small team and ensuring compliance with industry standards, health and safety protocols, and UKAS accreditation. Outside of the FPA, Ryan is an on-call Crew Manager for Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service.
He holds a Level 3 Diploma in Emergency Fire and Rescue Services Operations in the Community, Level 3 Certificate for Casualty Care for Fire and Rescue Services, Level 3 Incident Command, and a Level 3 Certificate in First Aid at Work. He has also completed ACAS Management training, the IOSH Managing Safely qualification, and a Project Management Fundamentals course.
