Russ joined the FPA in 2018. His careers began as an electrical design engineer, before spending 18 years as a retained firefighter and crew manager, alongside his role as a fire and security engineer.
As a senior trainer, Russ is responsible for preparing and delivering courses, maintaining the Training Workshop, and managing and mentoring the FPA’s Fire Safety Trainers. He also provides advice to FPA members through our Ask the Expert service.
Russ has completed almost all of the FPA training courses, as well as the FDIS Fire Door Inspector course. He also holds a Level 3 Teaching and Assessors Award and a Higher National Certificate in Electrical Building Services.
