Martin joined the FPA in 2025 with over 30 years’ experience in Local Authority Fire and Rescue as an Operational Silver Commander, Fire Investigator, and Fire Safety Enforcement Officer. At the FPA he is responsible for assessing and quality assuring the FPA’s suite of fire safety qualifications. Martin holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, the Level 5 certificate in Fire Investigation, Level 3 Award in Fire Door Inspection, Level 3 Award in Passive Fire Protection, and the NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety. He is also a member of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM).
