John Harbottle

Senior Trials Manager

John Harbottle joined the FPA in 2007. During this time, he has worked as a technical consultant within our Special Projects Group, where he has gained broad experience of conducting projects on behalf of the UK defence industry, the insurance industry and the commercial sector covering a wide variety of fire safety issues. He has project managed both experimental research and desk based studies in areas including passive fire protection systems, fire detection equipment, fire suppression systems, manual firefighting and statistical analysis of historic incidents. John has also played a key role in establishing the FPA’s state of the art fire research, training and test laboratory, and the development of the procedures for the 17025 management system.
