Jess joined the FPA in 2025 with 10 years’ experience in education and teaching, most recently as an Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for curriculum design and assessment. Jess’ key responsibilities include leading the design, development and continuous improvement of the FPA’s fire safety qualifications, CPD courses, and learning products, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements, reflect industry best practice, and deliver an effective learner experience.
She oversees the FPA’s curriculum and assessment strategy, manages the curriculum function, and works closely with the FPA’s quality and assessment teams to ensure consistency, standardisation, and compliance with internal and external quality standards. Jess holds a BSc degree in Biology, PGCE, and qualified teacher status.
