We are excited to announce an opportunity to join our team as a Fire Risk Assessment Trainer. In this role you will ensure the delivery of Fire Risk Assessment qualifications and CPD courses are carried out accurately, consistently and are compliant with current legislation and educational standards. Your expertise will support the achievement of learners through qualification pathways with fair and effective assessment and in adherence to IQA practices.

Senior Trainer and Curriculum Lead
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver training assignments nationally with due care, skill and diligence in accordance with curriculum outcomes and best teaching practice
• Contribute to the creation and updating of course design and materials for qualifications and CPD courses within own area of expertise
• Provide comprehensive support to learners in their preparation for assessments
• Provide assessment of learners’ submitted work within agreed timeframes, adhering to internal processes and policies
• Provide clear SMART feedback to learners
• Report on and maintain records of learners’ progress daily, when assessing/conducting IQA, adhering to internal processes and IQA requirements
• Provide technical information in relation to the size and complexity of requests for bespoke assignments
• Liaise with the client directly to deliver SLAs and ensure the content delivered is as requested/appropriate
• Be responsible for maintaining own professional development and participate in CPD activities
• Maintain currency in industry developments
• Share knowledge and experience for the benefit of the organisation
• Contribute to the creation and adaption of course materials for qualifications and CPD courses

Key Education and Experience
Essential
• A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent), including English and Maths
• Qualification in Fire Risk Assessment or equivalent experience
• Experience in conducting Fire Risk Assessments
• Working at intermediate or advanced level as defined by current competency standards for fire risk assessors
• Level 3 Award in Education and Training or experience of relevant CPD/Qualification delivery
• Experienced in presenting information using relevant IT skills – e.g. Word/ Excel/PowerPoint
Desirable
• Proven experience of carrying out fire risk assessment and report writing for clients at Level 4 or above
• Third party accreditation for Fire Risk Assessment or willingness to work towards
• Level 3 Assessor qualification or equivalent
