Following the release of BS 8674:2025 setting out the framework for the assessment of fire risk assessor competency, earlier this year the FPA updated its fire risk assessment qualifications to ensure they are fully aligned with the new standard. Our new suite of qualifications, accredited by FireQual, align with the three competency levels set out in BS 8674:2025. Foundation, Intermediate, and Advanced.
James joined the FPA in 2018. He began his marketing career in the sports industry and has since gained experience developing successful marketing campaigns and strategies, launching new websites, and implementing a CRM system.
Working closely with the Head of Marketing, James is responsible for creating and delivering the FPA's marketing strategy and annual campaign plan to communicate our core messaging as the UK's national fire safety organisation. He is also responsible for creating the membership and subscriptions strategy to grow and engage FPA members through continuously improved subscription products. He has a BA (Hons) degree and holds the Certificate in Professional Marketing with the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
