The proposed use of Massive Timber Systems can offer significant advantages in terms of cost and sustainability, although presents challenges for those asked to insure them. IQ6 seeks to seeks to elicit information that could be useful in engaging with insurers at the design and proposal stage of building planning, and focuses on the known sensitives of wood as a structural building material to the insurance perils of fire and water exposure.
