C17 Introduction to Passive Fire Protection

Following a successful application by the Association of Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) to the CITB (Construction Skills Growth Fund), FPA in partnership with ASFP have developed a series of practical modules on passive fire protection. 
 
An initial ‘core module’ covers the following learning outcomes:
  • Outline the legal, standard and other code driven requirements for passive fire protection installations.
  • Identify the role of passive protection in ensuring the safety of buildings and occupants.
  • Understand the responsibilities of those involved in the process including the designer, specifier, distributor, installer and end user.
  • Understand some of the common problems and issues caused by building alterations and potential solutions.

This programme is part funded by CITB - Construction Skills Growth Fund
