The FPA’s Technical Division undertakes research, audits and consultancy in support of all aspects of fire prevention and protection. Extensive studies are routinely undertaken on behalf of commerce and industry, insurers, military, local government and the public sector, to name but a few. Our recognised experts offer a truly comprehensive service, which can be tailored to meet your precise requirements, as well as ensuring conformity with current legislation and codes of practice.

The group is led by FPA’s Technical Director, Dr James Glockling, supported by experienced staff drawn from industry, government, research organisations and the insurance community. National coverage for the FPA’s networked services is provided by a group of 60+ surveyors, auditors and assessors.
