Sprinkler Rules

The LPC Rules for Automatic Sprinkler Installations are the Bible for the sprinkler industry and an essential reference source for those designing, specifying and installing sprinkler systems.

The FPA supplies two versions of this publication: one incorporating the European standard on the subject, BS EN 12845, and one incorporating BS 5306-2.  BS EN 12845 and BS 5306-2 co-existed until 1 September 2007, when the latter was withdrawn.  The Sprinkler Rules incorporating BS EN 12845 should therefore be used for all new projects from 1 September 2007 onwards.  The Sprinkler Rules incorporating BS 5306-2 may prove useful for reference purposes in relation to systems which were previously designed in accordance with this standard.
