Overview
Based on the Fire Protection Association/Construction Confederation joint code of practice Fire Prevention on Construction Sites, this short course takes a risk assessment approach to the problem, culminating in a site visit. It is expected that candidates will have an interest in this course because they are involved in the fire safety of construction or demolition sites as part of their work. It is therefore expected that candidates or their employers will assist us in making appropriate arrangements for the site visit.
Who will benefit?
Those who are involved in the management or supervision of fire safety on building and demolition sites will find this course particularly useful. Because a risk assessment approach is taken, a prerequisite of starting the course is that candidates have either completed course NOS 3.1 (2), or that they can demonstrate an equivalent level of prior knowledge.
