Overview
The N/SVQ unit which this course addresses looks at many of the same issues covered by courses NOS 3.1 (2) and particularly NOS 4.1 (5). As a result, it is only a two-day course and completion of course NOS 4.1 (5) is a prerequisite for those wishing to attend. The significance of this course is that it looks at the risk assessment issues raised in the other courses from the perspective of locations using hazardous materials. The other courses consider similar matters, but from the general fire safety perspective.
Who will benefit?
This course is aimed at those who are responsible for fire safety at sites where hazardous materials are used and stored as part of a work process.
This course is also suitable for members of agencies who oversee fire safety standards at such workplaces. It should be noted that this course is not aimed at those who are responsible for fire safety at sites whose core business is the handling of hazardous materials.
