Fire Risk Assessment Guidance

The FPA offers two free advice leaflets to help businesses to conduct fire risk assessments in premises.

Fire Safety Order Guidance Leaflet - provides an overview of the principles behind fire risk assessment, describing a seven-step approach.

Guidance on Fire Safety at Work - provides a useful checklist of factors that should be considered in any fire risk assessment. The list should not be considered exhaustive but instead should be used as a starting point for developing your own list, tailored to your suited to your premises.
