The Fire Protection Association (FPA) is the UK’s national fire safety organisation with an unrivalled reputation for quality of work in all aspects of loss prevention, including research, consultancy, training, publications, risk surveying and auditing.
The Technical Division of the FPA is a unique blend of engineers, scientists and consultants. We provide a comprehensive range of practical, high integrity services, tailored to the clients’ requirements. Our clients include ‘blue chip’ organisations, government departments, insurers and the Ministry of Defence.
In order to support our growing business needs we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic graduate from an engineering, scientific or other technical discipline to join our organisation. The successful candidate will be provided with extensive training in a range of disciplines and during their first year will have the opportunity to work in a variety of the Technical Division’s business streams:
· Experimental fire research (including lab-based and desk-based projects)
· Insurance services (including research and risk management surveys)
· Fire advisory services (including fire risk assessments and consultancy)
· Fire engineering services (including third party FE verification)
The position will be at our head office, based within the campus of the Fire Service College at Moreton in Marsh in Gloucestershire and there will be some requirement to travel.
