As Senior Fire Engineer (or Manager, Fire Engineering Services), you will have an important role to play in meeting the business development aims of the Fire and Risk Services group specifically relating to the Fire Engineering Services (FES) business stream. FES provides a wide range of high-quality services, including;
third-party fire engineering verification – where we police and verify the application of fire engineering on behalf of enforcing authorities and insurers; and fire safety management reviews for large corporate clients – where we advise on implementation of fire strategies, devise fire safety manuals, audit policy effectiveness, etc
Responsibilities will include supporting the development, effective functioning and management of the FES business stream, and conducting fire engineering verification work and fire safety management consultancy projects for a wide range of clients.
In addition, there will be opportunities to represent the FPA and insurers on technical and strategic committees, as well as the chance to contribute to RISCAuthority funded research projects.
The successful candidate will possess significant technical knowledge in this field, a working knowledge of British, European and NFPA standards, with strong project management skills, expert presence and commercial awareness. Knowledge and experience of structures and passive fire protection products and methods would be advantageous, but is not essential.
Salary and package will be based on experience, and the role will be based at our Moreton in Marsh offices.
