Fire Safety Trainer

Having recently secured several significant new contracts, the Fire Protection Association is seeking to expand its existing team of trainers.

The FPA currently deliver an extensive range of fire safety management, fire engineering and a suite of 12 specific courses in support of the National Occupational Standards (NOS) in Fire Safety. Additionally, we undertake bespoke training work for a wide range of national and international companies and maintain a client list in excess of 250 blue chip organisations.

Reporting to the Training Manager and working alongside the existing team of FPA trainers and our external training providers, the successful candidate will undertake the management, development and delivery of both open and bespoke training courses.

The successful applicant will ideally have a good understanding of current legislative requirements, building regulations, fire risk assessment and fire safety management techniques.

The job will be based in the FPA’s offices in Gloucestershire, though the role will involve travel throughout the UK and occasionally overseas.
